Les employeurs continuent de manquer \u00e0 leur devoir de diligence envers leurs travailleurs et travailleuses. Les r\u00e9gimes actuels de sant\u00e9 et s\u00e9curit\u00e9 continuent, au plan mondial, \u00e0 faire d\u00e9faut aux travailleurs et travailleuses dans le cadre de ce que l&rsquo;OIT appelle l&rsquo;\u00e9norme fardeau des mauvaises conditions de travail.<\/p><p>Le r\u00e9sultat en est que :<\/p><ul><li>Toutes les 15 secondes, une personne meurt d&rsquo;un accident du travail ou d&rsquo;une maladie professionnelle.<\/li><li>Chaque jour, 7.600 travailleurs et travailleuses meurent d&rsquo;un accident du travail ou d&rsquo;une maladie professionnelle.<\/li><li>Chaque semaine, 5.000 personnes meurent d&rsquo;une maladie pulmonaire ou d&rsquo;un cancer dus \u00e0 une exposition \u00e0 l&rsquo;amiante.<\/li><\/ul><p>Les co\u00fbts sociaux et \u00e9conomiques des mauvaises conditions de travail sont \u00e9normes :<\/p><p>Le co\u00fbt humain, comme la douleur et la souffrance d&rsquo;une blessure ou d&rsquo;une maladie, la souffrance caus\u00e9e \u00e0 la famille et aux personnes \u00e0 charge, le vide et la perte \u00e9motionnelle de la famille, etc.<\/p><ul><li>Perte de production<\/li><li>Frais m\u00e9dicaux<\/li><li>Compensation de la perte de salaire<\/li><li>Perturbation de la production<\/li><li>Frais administratifs et juridiques li\u00e9s aux poursuites judiciaires pour n\u00e9gligence et aux \u00e9ventuelles amendes ou peines d&rsquo;emprisonnement.<\/li><\/ul><p>Au vu du manquement des employeurs \u00e0 leur devoir de diligence et des co\u00fbts faramineux engendr\u00e9s, il est grand temps de faire reconna\u00eetre la sant\u00e9 et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 comme un droit fondamental au travail.<\/p><p>Chaque ann\u00e9e, IndustriALL comm\u00e9more le 28 avril et observe une minute de silence \u00e0 cette occasion. Le mouvement syndical mondial lance un appel clair pour une mise en question radicale de l&rsquo;approche habituelle de la gestion de la sant\u00e9 et de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 au travail et ainsi faire de cette probl\u00e9matique un droit fondamental au travail et de le reconna\u00eetre en tant que tel.<\/p><p>IndustriALL Global Union se joint \u00e0 l&rsquo;appel lanc\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;occasion de la D\u00e9claration du centenaire de l&rsquo;OIT pour l&rsquo;avenir du travail en 2019 qui martelait : &ldquo;Des conditions de travail s\u00fbres et saines sont fondamentales pour un travail d\u00e9cent&rdquo;.
