Los empleadores contin\u00faan incumpliendo su deber de cuidar a sus trabajadores. Los actuales reg\u00edmenes mundiales de salud y seguridad le contin\u00faan fallando a los trabajadores en lo que la OIT llama una&nbsp;enorme carga de las malas condiciones de trabajo.<\/span><\/p><p><span class=\"turquoise\">Los resultados de esa carga son que:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span class=\"turquoise\">Cada 15 segundos muere un trabajador por accidente o enfermedad laboral<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"turquoise\">Cada d\u00eda mueren 7.600 trabajadores por accidentes de trabajo o enfermedades laborales<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"turquoise\">Cada semana, 5.000 personas mueren de enfermedades pulmonares o c\u00e1ncer debido a la exposici\u00f3n al amianto<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span class=\"turquoise\">Los costos sociales y econ\u00f3micos de las malas condiciones de trabajo son enormes:<\/span><\/p><p><span class=\"turquoise\">El costo humano, como el dolor y el sufrimiento de una lesi\u00f3n o enfermedad, el sufrimiento causado a la familia y dependientes, el vac\u00edo y la p\u00e9rdida emocional de la familia, etc.<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span class=\"turquoise\">Producci\u00f3n perdida<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"turquoise\">Costos m\u00e9dicos<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"turquoise\">Compensaci\u00f3n por salarios perdidos<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"turquoise\">Alteraci\u00f3n de la producci\u00f3n<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"turquoise\">Gastos generales administrativos y legales relacionados con demandas legales por negligencia y posibles multas y\/o encarcelamiento<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span class=\"turquoise\">Debido al fracaso de los empleadores en su deber de cuidado y los costos asombrosos, ya es hora de reconocer la salud y la seguridad como un derecho fundamental en el trabajo.<\/span><\/p><p><span class=\"turquoise\">Cada a\u00f1o, IndustriALL&nbsp;conmemora&nbsp;y guarda&nbsp;un momento de silencio el 28 de abril, el movimiento sindical hace un llamado de atenci\u00f3n para hacer un cambio radical al enfoque habitual de c\u00f3mo gestionar la salud y la seguridad en el trabajo: reconocer y hacer de la salud y la seguridad un aspecto fundamental. justo en el trabajo.<\/span><\/p><p><span class=\"turquoise\">IndustriALL Global Union se une al llamamiento realizado con motivo de la Declaraci\u00f3n del Centenario de la OIT para el Futuro del Trabajo en 2019 que declar\u00f3: &ldquo;Las condiciones de trabajo seguras y saludables son fundamentales para el trabajo decente&rdquo;. La resoluci\u00f3n de la conferencia adoptada posteriormente ped\u00eda al Consejo de Administraci\u00f3n que &ldquo;considerara, lo antes posible, propuestas para incluir condiciones de trabajo seguras y saludables en el marco de la OIT de principios y derechos fundamentales en el trabajo&rdquo;, de la misma manera que lo hacen los ocho convenios fundamentales de la
