Las compa\u00f1\u00edas, junto con la IndustriALL Global Union y la UNI Global Union, acordaron avanzar inmediatamente en la aplicaci\u00f3n del Acuerdo. El objetivo es disponer de inspectores de seguridad sobre el terreno cuanto antes para empezar a resolver los problemas m\u00e1s urgentes.<\/p>

Los participantes, entre ellos la Campa\u00f1a Ropa Limpia y el Consorcio de Derechos del Trabajador, que han firmado como testigos el Acuerdo, dijeron que \u00e9ste ofrece la oportunidad de rectificar los inaceptables riesgos que corren actualmente los trabajadores de la confecci\u00f3n bangladesh\u00eds por las malas condiciones de la seguridad en las f\u00e1bricas.<\/p>

M\u00e1s de 1.100 personas murieron en el derrumbe del edificio Rana Plaza, la mayor tragedia industrial en  Bangladesh, que desat\u00f3 un debate mundial sobre la forma de mejorar la seguridad.<\/p>

El secretario general de la IndustriALL, Jyrki Raina, dijo:<\/p>

Esta es una labor normativa de m\u00e1s de 40 marcas de ropa fundadoras firmantes del Acuerdo jur\u00eddicamente vinculante con la IndustriALL Global Union y la UNI Global Union. Los trabajadores de todo el mundo tratar\u00e1n ahora de hacer extensivo este hist\u00f3rico Acuerdo a otros pa\u00edses y a otros sectores industriales. Nos sentimos fortalecidos para trabajar con esta masa cr\u00edtica de principales marcas y minoristas de ropa del mercado a fin de convertir en realidad los sentimientos del Acuerdo en Bangladesh.<\/p><\/blockquote>

El secretario general de la UNI Global Union, Philip Jennings, dijo:<\/p>

Es el momento de arremangarnos y proseguir la urgente tarea de mejorar la seguridad en las f\u00e1bricas en Bangladesh.<\/p><\/blockquote>

Ahora comienza la labor sobre la fase de aplicaci\u00f3n del Acuerdo.<\/p>
