VW workers accept agreement
BRAZIL: Almost all the 16,000 workers from the Sao Bernardo plant voted in favour of the deal, ABC Metalworkers’ Union told The Associated Press.
The agreement was negotiated last week by union leader Luiz Marinho at VW’s headquarter in Germany. As a direct result of the negotiation, the workers ended a week-old strike on Monday, but said they needed two days to study the proposal before voting on it.
